Powell has a plan and I like his objectiveness. Lottich and Evans are fluff enablers, and Valpo overall overdoes that communication approach.

I appreciate those long term comments, as during the game they pretty much got smoked.
#4
what money are you referring to?

Regarding a limited time window to get talent, there may be a lesson learned here. With the more liberal transfer and recruiting rules, if you are certain to sack a coach, do NOT wait!  Have the interim coach take over, and start the search for a new coach. My feeling is they were going to sack Lottich but wanted to wait until the season ended.

I know Valpo does not do that traditionally, but this tradition needs to be broken. For the women's program there's no question Evans needs to be dismissed a month ago.

Great objective postgame speech. I appreciate the honesty and lack of fluff. This team will get better and they will win. They need much more talent.

When a team is 6-20 in any sport, it is very difficult to get high attendance - unless you're the Chicago Cubs who could pack Wrigley Field even if there's not even a game there.

Drake will win the MVC tournament, and DeVries and DeVries go to Iowa.

54-27 at half, unfortunately students won't be enthusiastic to stay for the second half.

Again Valpo needs better talent and grow from this.

valpotx - agreed, I would presume a change will be made after the tournament and a Remax sign will be placed at her house, if not already. Their preparation is unacceptable

Please don't tell me the talent is there overall, it's not. Most of these guys are sub ham and eggers. I would presume Powell is on the recruiting trail and going to the deck to improve his hand.

tx - of course it does. I am totally blown away that Valparaiso University has not acknowledged Parker's contributions and impact on athletics.

the team currently is deprived of both inexperience and talent. IMHO Powell in his overall performance has exceeded my expectations.

yes but coached at Valpo for 2 years and was a huge gamechanger and influencer in American sports. Valpo needs to recognize this, and it is really sad he does not get considered.

He is one of the most influential African Americans who has had an influence in sports and was a great representative at Valparaiso. He was a student coach for 2 years and made a tremendous impact to many players. No Valpo HOF is complete without Eugene Parker.

Palm or Barrett should never start, period.

I believe Powell will get this program in the right direction. They really need better talent and experience.

Bryce Drew would be a buffoon to take the DePaul job, and I firmly believes he knows that. USC May be looking for a new coach however.
