This "World Series" seems to go on for like six weeks! Crazy.

I'd assumed the the poker craze had peaked. But, I guess there's plenty of people still interested - or a critical mass interested at a high level, etc.

Three players eliminated today so far, and Todd took out at least one personally. He's up to third with 620,000 in chips. And is guaranteed at least a $10k prize (his previous best a bit more than $5k, it seems). It's a little hard to tell, but it seems like he's one of the biggest gainers on the day, so far. I'm no poker guy, but it seems like he's surrounded by a bunch of bracelet/event winners.

5:22 PM central update. Four eliminated, just twelve men standing. Todd's hanging in there at 5th, 530k in chips - still well up on the day. Not quite sure how this H.O.R.S.E stuff works. They change games... every hand?

5:29 PM central update. Just eleven left. The Belgian is out - not from Todd's table. Todd's got the Britt instead, who's down maybe 20% on the day, but hanging in there.

5:50 PM update. Just ten left. Maybe a better interface... and no registration?... at http://www.wsop.com/m/updates/?grid=1232&tid=14918&dayof=149183. Todd sporting a black Valpo sweatshirt/shirt. That other table must be getting empty... Todd now guaranteed to at least triple his best cash.

6:05 PM update. Down to nine. Just three left at the leader's table. Will they join together for the final eight? Todd doing fine at 600,000 chips.

HORSE = They play one full table rotation of each of the five games (Holdem, Omaha hi/lo, Razz, Stud, stud Eight-or-better [hi/lo]).

They moved to one table with nine remaining. Todd currently sitting mid-pack around 570k. Although with the levels they're at, blind-wise, one or two hands can really swing things.

Was as high as 700k as 4/9. But now at the official final table with 550k, 5/8.

Not bad!

8:08 update; just seven left! Don't spend it all in one place! (Like at the rest of the WSOP.)

8:13 update: big leap up to 1.13M, 2/7.

9:11 update. I hear there will be no video coverage of HORSE. Todd fell off that high water mark, but hanging in there. 730k currently 4/6. Britt's in trouble. And the leader has tripled up the current #2.
