Interesting distribution. Lotsa beef which is good. 4 WRs and no QBs or RBs. One potential DB. With only 2 WRs graduating and only one of those who played significant time along with only one graduating next year it is only odd when compared to the same situation at both QB and RB. They could be having some problems getting a QB to committ with not a lot of room from a new recruit to fit in but they need to grab a RB and DB or two without putting up a zero for the new class OR some of these guys will find themselves at new positions.

With 6 QB's returning it could be a challenge to add one but we have several possibilities still out there. Watching Wright's tape he played wildcat last season.

I agree I would like to add a RB though we are pretty deep if it does not happen once again lots of offers out there. To me the only place where we have to add someone is at punter. As far as I know we have only one and made through last season at that level.

Having said that any new players would be welcomed regardless of position.

The roster as a whole should be good for next season. I was thinking more from a future distribution of positions throughout the roster standpoint.

This is terrific, however, unfortunately there is a typo in the first line of the recap.

Bunch of commits today apparently including a QB who I wouldnt' think would challenge any of the guys on the roster currently.

Cole Van Setters is from Rockford, Michigan, not Rockford, IL. Just making this known, as I live in the Rockford, IL area, and would have heard about this kid during the high school season here.

01 Feb -- National Signing Day.  The VUFB signees are being rolled out individually on the VUFB Twitter site:  https://twitter.com/valpoufootball

VU2014

The Greatest recruit name in America just signed with Illinois State. I kid you not his name is 'Kobe Buffalomeat'. Valpo missed a good one.

I count 31 signed as of 4:55.  I'm always amazed at Valpo's national draw.  The players come from 11 different states.

Hello, I'm Kobe (A well marbled piece of) Buffalomeat

VU2624

There was a second QB in there as well.

VULB#62

Yep, 2 QBs.

Markoff is from Ohio -- 6-3, 200, 4.65 40.  Hudl clips show about 50-50 runs to passes.  Speedy and illusive.  Doesn't throw as well as Bilinski but can run option and scrambles really well.

Bilinski is from Illinois -- 6-3, 189 (no 40 time listed).  Hudl clips show he is the more polished passer of the two, but doesn't run as well.

Of the two, it would seem that Markoff is a better fit in the Cecchini offensive system (like Ben and like Dalton was supposed to be before being so frequently injured.)

As in the past, this is the first wave of signees -- they had all their paperwork in prior to NSD 2017 so their names could be released.   There will be more.

Very impressed by Markoff. VERY FAST and made some tough throws as well.  At one point he was at his own goal line being pressured and on his heals and threw it 40 yards in the air. He looks like the real deal and I would think he could be a very good compliment to Jimmy's skill set.
