Terrance coming off injury and our offensive line worked best as a unit with him starting. That being said as of right now there is improvement to ask for.

Davidson has hired it's new coach. Scott Abell from Washington and Lee. He's an option guy so the Crusaders will now need to prepare for two option offenses in the PFL with Jacksonville being the other.

Speaking of Davidson, anyone know which of Davidson or San Diego Valpo gets to play in place of Campbell next season? Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum which will assuredly have an affect on the w/l record.

I think we get them both.  With 10 teams (did we add anybody to replace Campbell?)  we will play 8 league games.  Over the last 5 years we have played San Diego 4 of them so as we didn't play them last year it will be our turn again.  As for Davidson looks like 3 out of 4 so I'm guessing we start that over again next year, although it could be Marist again as it looks like we play them 2 on 2 off and played them last year.  Heck, I'm now confused!

I have never been able to sort out the rationale for PFL schedule rotations.

I think it's two on two off (essentially home and home). Since Campbell's out and Davidson and SD weren't on the schedule, I anticipate it being one of the two. Which one? Only the shadow knows. ???

It was Presbyterian that was added to the PFL for the 2021 season. Georgetown was contemplating a move to the PFL.

So PC will play 3 seasons in the Big South and flush out their scholarship players.

VULB#62

The thinking at PC might go along the lines of PFL teams being added in open PC slots in the 18-20 seasons as OOC games as part of the transition.  For PFL teams it meets scheduling guidelines that place a premium on facing scholly FCS teams (at least while they still have scholly players) and develops some familiarity with PC for PFL schools and vice versa for PC. Given taht schedules are sometimes booked years in advance I would guess that this approach would be a little catch as catch can.

I would love to welcome Georgetown to the PFL!  Maybe that would allow us to get a basketball game scheduled against them at some point :).

If you dig into the PFL Fan Forum, [   http://pflfan.proboards.com/board/1/pfl-board   ] you'll see some discussion about that.  Long story short:  Posters characterize G'Town's view of the PFL as being beneath them despite the fact that they are getting their butts kicked in their present affiliation -- the Patriot League.  G'Town does not offer the complete number of  scholarships (only 20), I believe, and the Patriot has a 60 scholly limit.  Even when the PL was non-scholarship, G'Town got their tails handed to them more often than not.  Having said all that, the caliber of play they exhibit (decent NEC level) would fit nicely in the PFL and they would be very competitive with the current members (always a tight game with Marist).
