Given our shallow bench I think being within 5 at half is pretty solid.  Alec had to sit out a bunch and Shane got the T.  Look for a solid second half.  This team is pretty tough.

Without Jubril and Max, pulling out a win here would be pretty darn impressive.  Awful that "something" had to come up to knock us back so far from full strength. I can only trust it's the right measure for whatever is going on.

Yeah interesting wording in the press release. Judging by the fact that hey are here I'm assuming the team didn't come home between games. If those two knowingly violated a team rule they deserve to be susupended.  But again, "University Matter" seems ominous.  Hope it's only a one game thing. This is a whole different game with Max and JA on the floor.

Smits and Bradford really could benefit from a redshirt year.

We are evenly matched tonight.  We are missing Jubril, but Church is far better than Jubril and is limited tonight because of injury.  Don't see us being any better than MSU.

NativeCheesehead

Disagree Mr Atkins. These two teams, full strength, neutral court, top level officials, we win be 6-8.  But games aren't played on paper.

Dude, the game isn't even over yet.

The most impressive aspect of tonight's game has been MSU's announcers.  They have been fair and respectful. Hat's off to them.

Smits just needs time to get acclimated to his height. Remember, he wasn't over 7' tall in high school, and he never really had to play much defense, as games were so in hand that he didn't play a lot of second halves of high school games. He's definitely not at his peak yet.

Also, is it just me, or are these officials TERRIBLE? They've spent a lot of time checking monitors, and being the 6th, 7th, and 8th men for Missouri St. Thankfully, the Crusaders have been able to hold their own, and keep in this game.

Shane fouled out when a player rolls around on the floor...   weak call...

What game are these zebras watching, or are they using a different rule book?

He HAS to be smarter there. Shane has been playing out of control all night.

One of the best coaching jobs I've seen.  A short handed team with one of our key players on the bench for much of the second half?? Amazing!!  And Alec??  The best to ever wear the Brown and Gold!!   :thewave:

Great Short Handed Win....Funny... the Vegas Line was 3...

"How do they know?"

8-2... heading home... let's hope the JA/MJ issue is behind us for a really good Indiana State team coming in.

Holy Cow!  That took a day or two off the end of my life!   Gutty win.  Refs mysterious.  This team knows how to win ugly and I think that is really important in college basketball.  Todd is a lot more fun to listen to when he's not on ESPN 3 (really lets the emotion come through more).  Great work Nick Davidson again!
