So in OT, this Louisville player is going nuts. Walk-on frosh year.  Announcer mentions his Dad played at Valpo.  Ville player is Ryan McMahon.  Dad's name is Dave.  I don't recall a Dave McMahon would have been late 80s-early 90s? Anyone recall him?

Remember the name, but not the player.  According to all-time team, he played from 85-88.  Didn't come in with frosh class of '84, most of which did not finish at VU.  Harry Bell would have graduated same year.

In senior year he played 12 games for a total of 55 minutes, averaging 1.9 ppg.

He wasn't on '84 or '85 roster, and I don't remember if he was a walk-on or not.

Dave was a walk on from South Bend as I recall. He joined the team his soph. season. He played quite a bit for a walk on. Wore #14.

Yes.  St. Joe's as I recall.  When I saw the picture of his son above, the son looked familiar - I'm sure similar to his father 30+ years ago.

I came up with some pics as well.  I surely recognize him, as I attended some of the same years, but not business or Sig Tau.

COVUFAN, c'mon you probably saw him at a Sig Tau "happy hour".

I'm impressed he did a Cambridge semester and basketball.  Then again it was the Tom Smith years....

Happy hour is for after college.  I needed to be serious and study as much as possible!  ;) ;D
