<insert annual rank about how stupid it is to hand out awards before a single minute is played>

Still, those 7 people that didn't vote Valpo as finishing #1 should have their credentials revoked.

Everyone back from last year's conf. Season/ tournament champs, 2 new players who could start for any other team in the league, and a 7-1 3-star IN HS All-Star freshman. Oh, and 4 of the top 10 players in the pre-season poll.

No one could be that stupid as to vote for anyone other than Valpo. It has to be a handful of clowns who think that showing childlike loyalty to "their" program should trump their obligation to use their brain. Proof positive of a longstanding management principle that 10% of people in every profession are laggards and losers.

7 out of 43 voters??  If Vashil were not coming back I could understand having 16% voting for some other team.  Does the Detroit voter know something about a change in HC in the next few weeks?

Couldn't agree more.  This is a pre-season poll.  How can you vote against a team that returns all starters?  Even if you thin the incoming talent will make their team better, it is totally unproven.  The only known fact is that Valpo is the reigning champ and returns everyone. The poll thus becomes a joke.

So who starts for the Crusaders?  Oh, perhaps a better question at this point--who are the five most talented players on our squad?

Reposting this little aggregate table on Horizon predictions here at the bottom of the thread. Basically, a team gets 10 points for first, 9 for second, etc. down to one point for a last place prediction. Where a publication did not predict the entire standings, I gave all the unranked teams 0 points, and then the last ranked team 1 point, next to last ranked team 2 points, etc.
