Where good is, alas, 3-2 agains the D1, with an additional moral victory from Milwaukee.

"Against D1" -- you're right. Didn't catch that the first time.

For anyone interested in following any of our key OOC opponents on TV, Rhode Island is playing Maryland tonight at 7:30p CT on the CBS Sports Network (CBSSN). This would be a big win for the 3-1 Rams against the 4-0 Terps.

Valpower

I sure don't want to start the too-big-for-our-britches griping about our conference, but damn, Youngstown State is in danger of being beaten by Thiel College.  Sigh.

I'm no expert but it appears to me that the Rhode Island win is getting better all the time. Playing against #2 Maryland sure isn't going to hurt their RPI, .but they also beat TCU last night who just beat Illinois State, picked by Lindy's to finish 2nd in the Valley. I expect Rhody to give the Terps a battle.

MD up on Rhody... 31-13 at the under-8 media break...

and speaking of teams with 6 wins on the season...
South Dakota State picked up win #6... beating Cleveland State tonight...
and Vandy is going for win #6 tonight... 'cepting they got Kansas in the Maui Invitational...

nkvu

Maryland is either really really good or Rhode Island played the worst game they could. Probably a bit of both.

Thiel College is an ELCA school in Greenville, PA which is just northeast of Youngstown about 35 miles. Final score 69-55 YSU.

Terps 86, URI 63, not much of a battle.

The battle of Nashville that doesn't involve Vanderbilt or Tennessee State.

Iona beat Fairfield tonite, but what caught my eye in the box score was their star A.J. English scored 46 points. Wow. Valpo did a great job holding him in check offensively when we played Iona.

If you scroll down this list you will find that many major conference schools have yet to play a true road game and the overwhelming majority of the rest are stuck at one. Our 2-2 road record stands out like a sore thumb.

As does Oregon's splashy 6-0 home,  0-0 neutral, 0-0 Away record.  ::)
