Well this year has been seriously hit and miss with streaming video.  Although I have figured a few things out along the way so I thought I would update the thread.
Missouri State is Saturday December 15[/b]

According to http://www.missouristatebears.com/sports/m-baskbl/sched/mosu-m-baskbl-sched.html

There will be a video feed for the game.  It is a CBS set up (same as New Mexico and Saint Louis).  To get the feed, you will have to pay.  2 options for this.  $9.99 and a $14.99 one.  If you pick the $10 one, you will only be able to see Missouri State stuff.  If you pick the $15 one, you can watch any school that uses this thing.  I suggest the $15 if you like streaming video as we have 2 more games using this service in December.  Then just cancel the membership before January.

Oakland is Monday December 17

According to http://www.ougrizzlies.com/sports/m-baskbl/sched/oakl-m-baskbl-sched.html

See above for paid video options.

Final one to worry about is Murray State on Saturday December 29.  FYI, tickets are only $10 for the game.  A few of my family are going.

According to http://goracers.com/schedule.aspx?path=mbball

There will only be an audio stream.  Other games list a video link and ours does not.  It does list, however, that the game will be on ESPN3 if that is an option for you.

As usual, we will try and post free streaming video options but for $15 you can watch the next 2 games and not deal with pop ups or animated .gif like feeds.

After those games, we will be good to go with Horizon League streams of away and home games until the NCAA Tournament.  If CBS does the same as last year, the streaming of March Madness was well worth $4.

I'll update this as games get closer or go on if things change

Thank you for the information.  Can we possibly get this thread tacked so it doesn't get buried or lost (for quicker viewing)?

The Valpo Athletics site is listing that video and audio streaming will be available this Friday night for the Georgia Southern game...for our out of town Crusaders!

The folks made it awesome easy this year

If anyone tries using an XBox or PS3, can you let us know how it worked for you?  I have yet to confirm if the HLN/UStream feeds can work on them.

I know there's been some streaming problems recently. I'll check on here throughout each game. If anybody is having a problem, please post ASAP and I'll see if it can be rectified immediately.

The WVUR audio stream has had some problems in the pre-season.

The WAKE audio feed has been solid tonight - though the link is wrong at the Valpo Gameday page.

They've got
http://stream3web.securenetsystems.net/radio_player_large.cfm?stationCallSign=WAKE&relocateURL=true

while the working link is
http://radio.securenetsystems.net/radio_player_large.cfm?stationCallSign=WAKE

The HL video's been fine tonight - but their audio feed's a little odd?  It's like it's a bad patch of the radio feed.  It's audible but a little echoey, etc.

There will be a video feed for the game.  Same setup as New Mexico and Missouri State.  Lets hope its a good service :)

Back in 2010, the barn-burner at Oakland (Valpo 103-Oakland 102) they had their own streaming service.  The quality was OK, at least - with a fee.  Sounds like they're doing something different now.

The CBS platform I am seeing at a LOT of schools.  It must be pretty cheap and easy to use on the schools end.  I would expect it works fairly well.  I heard that the football game is being streamed tomorrow so I will get a chance to test out a HLN game on my PS3

I hope the CBS games are a free stream, because this past March Madness was the first time they required paying for online streaming. I was kind of upset by that.

It APPEARS the games on our list will be free, but can't be sure as of yet.  I didn't mind paying for the March Madness package at all!  It was less than $10 and you got access to EVERY game.

PS- I did test my PS3 with the football game on Saturday and sadly it didn't work.  That stinks.  HLN needs to change streaming providers.  XBox and PS3 (and other streaming media players) make the viewing experience almost like a standard broadcast.

Matt, HLN may not have worked on your PS3 because it was thru UStream, instead of the true HLN setup?

I agree, the March Madness thing was fine at the price they charged, considering the access you had to games all over the bracket map.

The HLN feed is from UStream. Its the same player that is embedded on the HLN or other school's website.  If it doesn't work through the UStream site, I have my doubts.  I feel its more to do with the PS3 browser, which I have heard doesn't handle some styles of flash broadcasting yet.  The XBox browser is pretty new so it may work

I was just looking at the BTN Television schedule for Thursday night, and Thursday's game at Nebraska will be on BTN, so I'm guessing there won't be a video stream available, just have to hope that you can be in a BTN viewing area, or find a bootleg website that is carrying the game.

LaPorteAveApostle

BTN's online broadcast is the best I have seen so far--it is not a stream, but a complete broadcast (ie you can tune in late and still watch from the beginning).

Only downside is you have to sign in with an account from an authorized provider.  Otherwise, popups dot EU for you! :/

I'm just letting those who live in areas that get the Big Ten Network know the game will be on there.

This is the streaming link for the Kent State game...  I can not get it to load, but its listed to work.  Perhaps it starts at the tip?

According to http://www.slubillikens.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=27200&SPID=93215&SPSID=632626

This game is going to be on Fox Sports Midwest.  Other games have a pop up streaming player and this one does not.  It appears that Fox Sports Midwest offerings streaming of certain events.  (like Cardinals spring training, ect)  Our game is not listed.  I also couldn't find an audio stream.

It seems like there might be a streaming video link now?

We'll see...  OK - update - the links are working a little better now, but looks like it's $10/month.  Unless you already subscribe to CBSSports.com ULive.

There is an audio link as well. But, of course, we have our usual VU audio options.

If those don't work:  i prefer VIPBoxSports to "thefirstrow" because the pop-ups are easier to navigate (once you do it successfully the first time)

http://www.vipboxsports.eu/basketball/108689/1/valparaiso-vs-saint-louis--live-stream-online.html

Helpful tips for that (because it took me a while to learn):
--don't believe anything that says you need something to view the program.  you don't need any downloads; it's a flash stream.
--some popups will be closable immediately; the one in the middle of the viewer and the banner below it are not.  After a while, when you move your mouse to the upper LH area to click the X (don't click it), it will move to the lower LH corner, and be clickable/closable.  Other ads have a little blue X in a circle that will move, or a larger red X.  Close any and all popups that occur.  Your firearms are useless against them.
--i recommend the "turn off the lights!" button (green, to the right of the stream) if you are not full-screening it permanently.

It would appear that none of the links we have are working.  I shelled out the $10 and now wish I hadn't.  Audio quality is awful, but I least I can see the game.

According to http://www.golobos.com/sports/m-baskbl/nm-m-baskbl-body.html

There are audio and video streaming options for the game.  As of now, they also appear to be free but may require singing up to CBSsports.com for an account.

Is this

?

Or did you see something else?  Looks like it's probably $10 for a month's access.

Without much TV coverage, it would seem.  "My50/Root Sports RM"  I guess that's regional cable?

It has changed since I last looked at it.  I also didn't really look deep in the CBS thing as it looked like it was free if you had an account.  I was wrong.  This is the same set up as St Louis had and yes its $10 a month.  I purchased the St Louis one and cancelled right after the game as no other streams worked.  It wasn't really worth it, in my opinion.  Though it seems like it will vary school to school (quality).  Perhaps we'll be able to find a working link, but I am not optimistic at this point.  i'll update the thread as it gets closer.  Usually Apostle finds good links, but St Louis game nothing worked

I just noticed that this morning and its for sure a change since Wednesday.  I have a feeling that their students are gone who run the cameras or something.  The game is listed to be on local tv so perhaps we'll find something closer to game time.  Its not looking good, though
