This was more of a true rebuild than last year - last year was a down year despite having a lot of seniors, although many of them did get injured. This year had much more contribution from a big freshman class and there weren’t many seniors either. It will be interesting to watch this group grow and see if they can start another period of Marovich success.
If other sports are indicative of anything. Carin Avery and the women's volleyball program was able to keep most if not all of the roster from last year. Last year's team finished 9-9 in conference play. This year's team is currently second place in the valley and played close matches against P5 opponents
The ladies close out the season with a 3-0 win at Evansville, knocking them out of the tournament. The announcers said the freshman accounted for 42% of minutes played. Very impressive win!
2-4-3 in conference play this year, opposed to 0-9-1 last year. I like what I saw, flip a couple of those ties and they are in the MVC tournament. Hopefully they can build on it next season.,
