JOE VICK TIME
Wow! What a gritty second half. Justus McNair not getting as many minutes may indicate how talented and deep this team is.
Are Chaney and Pettigrew this year's "rent a freshmen"
Terrific bounce back after a lousy first half. Awesome to see some grit and resolve. 3-0 in winnable games so far is a very good sign. The next three are more opportunities to get a win!
I guess it’s a replay of sorts from the football game. Terrible first half followed by brilliance in the second. Nice win! Very successful weekend all around!

You could also link that to the volleyball game. terrible middle sets to ultimately dominate the final set
I need a Roger Powell halftime speech to get my week going. Those things must be super effective.
Time for some closing thoughts
Good teams can execute all the time, but great teams can overcome adversity without holding their heads and giving up. Valpo was a great team in the second half.
Powell and CO have the ability to adjust when something isn't working. Only wish they can change the plan earlier than after 20 minutes of play.
Rakim Chaney. Thats all. Give him money.
Shon is a brick wall down below and can 1. get fouled 2. Make his charity shots.
JT has some great shooting ability and footwork down low and, just like shon, can make his charity shots.
Now, was Valpo assisted by the Refs in the second half, yes, was Bryant not executing their shots in the second half, yes, but Valpo was able to do something they haven't been able to do all season so far. Punish bad play.
As others have said, slowing down the offense proved to be useful and is ultimately what helped in the second half
Cleaned up a mess in the 2nd half. For some of these guys it may be too much in and out of the game and that should likely settle down over time.
One disappointment has been Mark Brown who simply seems to provide not much offensively. He can't score himself and he doesn't seem to be able to set up others to do so.....at least so far.
All of you should watch the final 1.5 minutes of the press conference. Send it to the Valpo fans you know.
Nice second half adjustments after an awful close out to the first half. So far after four games… is it Chaney’s team? He really plays with confidence Dease and Barnes….if they could find their scoring roles and get going on the same game, that would be good. Whitaker, Brown as of now are playing for back up minutes to Chaney. Justice might be injured? Still curious. Wasn’t expecting a Lavonte Dority break out type year, but he was a good contributor last year. As long as Shon stays out of foul trouble he’s going to provide some good minutes on d and and a little more offense than I anticipated. Hopi is a project and the kid from Evansville still trying to carve out a role down low. Bryant lost a lot from their NCAA tourney team last year. Next up Cleveland state. They were laying an egg at home versus Radford in the first half.
As everyone has pointed out, the second-half turnaround was impressive, and we can only wish that second-half shooting (48% fg, 42% 3fg, 92% ft) would be the norm going forward for full games and against better teams. However, what has been consistently impressive is the decreasing number of turnovers this season—14, 10, 9, and only 7 today. Unfortunately, the home attendance average also remained low, under four digits again today (980).
Wow! Attendance at 980? Pathetic. Heck, the volleyball team drew 972!
Exactly why I said to watch the last 1.5 minutes of the interview....
Valpo fans are too reliant on the word IF
The following is a collection of things I have heard from both people here and IRL
I'll go to arch madness IF they make the finals
I'll go watch a basketball game...
IF they change the mascot back
IF NIL is gone
IF the portal closes
IF they win games
IF they are top half of the valley
How is it that other schools, like UIC, UE, and Indiana State, are still able to get fan support when their programs are also in a sorry state much like Valpo's. I have an answer, but some people need to ask that question themselves as well

I live across the country but you can add another IF to the list for my dad who has been taking me to games since I was a kid and had been a season ticket holder for 10+ years. He is not going to a game until there is a new university president.
@vok22 Then thats another IF I have a quarrel with. The president has little involvement with athletics and the money generated from his seat and concessions aren't going to anything other than athletics.
Nothing against your father, but, like most of these IFs, is a BS excuse to not come support
