I never understand why UTA gets thrown around for MVC consideration.  They have absolutely zero DFW following.  You don't get 'access to the DFW market' when you take in UTA, outside of physically playing your games here.  My wife received her Bachelor's from UTA, and said that no one went to the athletic events, and that has barely changed.  Large commuter school in a good-sized city, but I just don't see it for the MVC.

According to MVC Fans, Matt Brown on Twitter says Northern Kentucky, Central Arkansas, Little Rock and Arlington.

If this is the case, there is really only 1 choice. NKU. The Cincy area is relatively decent as a market seeing as Cincinnati isn't that great at basketball, and Xavier was also not that great last year. Their arena is also above avg for the MVC.

I also don't see the fit for Central Arkansas and Little Rock.  I guess that UCA would be worthwhile to consider when you look at both the MVC/MVFC need in losing an all-sports participant in Missouri State

THere were also reports that Northern Colorado was going to become a full member of the Summit league as the Summit is rumored to be in trouble with auto bids. Therefore the Summit is rumored to be adding football in order to keep their auto bids.

I could see why adding someone for MVC and MVFC is a choice with these circumstances

Saw an article today suggesting UTA along with SFA, ACU and Tarelton State were leaving the WAC for the Southland.

Poor WAC, it can never catch a break.  Just as it was seeming to come back from death to have a relevant conference with some form of a geo footprint, it all breaks up.

I always enjoy this guy's analysis and heavy Midwestern accent.

Resurrecting an old threat to give word that I am hearing a lot of whispers that Illinois State was approached by the MAC recently.

A conference whose chairman also happens to be the board chair for Valparaiso University.
