Interesting game at home. Drake went 0-3 non con. Pounded Davidson appears to be very bad. And beat Dayton who appeared to be very good.

Only one coach last 25 years could beat Drake. Tall tale for Waddle & Co but a win here and we are looking at a winning season

Bulldogs: 21

Beacs: 10

Think our defense can play well and we can keep it relatively close but I would be shocked if the final score is in that 21-10 range. Drake brought over River Falls' Top Gun offense and are gonna score a lot. Super fast paced offense, wear down the defense type of thing. 51 points and 621 total yards against Davidson, 30 and 468 against Dayton. Keeping them under 30 would be incredible.

Drake 34, Valpo 20

I like the way they worked Ehrlich into the game plan.  Helps us now and in the future.

Looking for revenge as we defeated them in basketball at the Knapp Center last year. Without a doubt this is the second best team we have played this year. Will need to score 31 or more to come away with the win. Our pass defense is in for a track meet. Drake doesnt exactly have a good defense. A win here would be huge for the program.

Wow.

Tuned in to listen, starting late in the 3rd quarter, with Valpo holding a 1 point lead.

They kept stopping Drake and added a TD score.

I'm impressed, and really, really happy for the players and coaches.

Bit of a stunner. Can't keep throwing the ball to the other team and win.

41-0…that’s how we lost to Drake last year. Different Drake coach, and this one is at Brown Field, but the year to year turnaround is unbelievable. And this was even with our offense playing mediocre overall, even poorly at times. The defense is fantastic.

San Diego got destroyed by Butler today and suddenly looks beatable. Win that, and I’ll start to dream.

All in on Waddle. It seems the culture has shifted. He’s done something two other VU coaches have done in 25 years. and it looks like we have a real shot at 6.

Rowan is now 3-19 but it took some guts to finish that game with injury. The team also appears to be 1000% behind him. Defense played lights out.

To be clear not a dig at Rowan 1) I want him to finish his career 8-19

Big win and momentum builder for the program. I am 100% believer if they somehow pull off a win next Saturday. Secondary played great today and the offense did just enough to take advantage of the Drake turnovers. I understand the critiques on Rowan. He had two bad plays, but redeemed with the nice TD in the corner. He won't get you anything outside of the pocket and doesn't posses a rocket arm, but at this point he's a good game manager, converted a few crucial passes and the big TD. Overall on both sides of the ball you can see how the staff has a system in place getting the most of their abilities. I expected Drake to score more, but we got enough timely pressure up front on their QB and our secondary took advantage.

Rowan is an imperfect player whose leadership is offsetting his play and building the team up. Direct quote. There’s no doubt he’s been a cornerstone.

the two aforementioned plays I am told were grip strength issues post the injury. Not just the injury but his career , unbelievable amount of grit

I would guess we have a decent chance for a win next week in sunny California against a team which just got drilled by that team we should have beaten if they hadn’t had the refs on their team.

Rowan started showing some of that grit last year. Now it's paying off. Not pretty, but he's creating results. Happy for him...it's a testament to his character.

maybe a bit post big win joys. But this feels different than 2020 when it was Washington willing us to win. Or 2017 with the Seewald big year.

this feels like our roster is more talented across the board and depth is accruing
