Whatever, it isn't a freshman with some potential. It's the final slot and I doubt he would have given it up unless it is a difference maker.
@vu72 yeah idk about that, I feel like adding someone this late in the game tends to be more of the staff thinking they found a diamond in the rough. Powell has shown that he will sign freshmen whenever he finds them so I would bank on this being a passed-over incoming freshman or maybe even a 2026 guy. Freshman with 0 other D1 offers is my guess.
Pure shot in the dark, but with Powell's seeming focus on basketball families, this could be JT Pettigrew's younger brother
Sader Servilus. 6’4 combo guard from Canada. I think we might have got a steal. Been trying to read and watch all I can about him since he announced, and he looks like the embodiment of grit, incredible energy and defensive aggression in particular. Love it.
Checked his Twitter and he had offers from Arizona State, Denver, Towson, and more.

Seems like we might have gotten a steal. Lots of these kids are falling through the cracks as high majors hit the portal as opposed to grow talent themselves.

I agree, this is a solid add. I really like this team......
Here's hoping that he doesn't see the court this upcoming season.

Seeing as he is cited as one of the best defenders in his class in Canada...I hope he sees some court
Seeing that he's a freshman I'd hope the upperclassmen would be stronger and more able to be better defenders than this guy. Last year's team would have been more successful with contributions from the non freshman instead of depending on one of them who played well but also displayed his warts.
Chances are, if this player sees much time, it is a bad sign.

I don't know about that. the kid is built and unlike some freshman in the past, (Williamson, 6'1" 165#, Weatherspoon 6'2" 180# or Darius 6'0" 170#) Sader is 6'3" 200#. From the video I'm posting it looks like he likes to bang and has a mature looking body. Also looks like he can shoot it. And clearly uses both hands. 247 says he had an offer From Arizona State. Finally, don't we have a "sader" who posts here from time to time??

....and how successful has the program been during those times?

I presume you mean Valpo's. If so, the smaller guards haven't worked out so well. The current roster not only has more size, but muscle.

The smallness (both height and width) could be applied to the entire roster recently. The upper classmen have to take the lead starting this upcoming season. Dependent upon freshman is a recipe for the same ol same.
That was the entirety of the post I made. If this guy is playing any sort of substantial minutes it is unlikely to be a good sign.
Whoever performs well will play. Sometimes upper class man dont perform as well as underclassman. That doesn't mean that it's a "sign" of anything.
