Duh, win games and the fans come back. Powell like most coaches gets 10-13 games to see what he has. They get on a roll or not. Don't matter either way, because the next year he has to replace 5-7 players annually.

I haven’t seen any notification for season ticket deposits. Was it by snail mail or email?

You seem to be arguing with yourself.  What you say is that it will take virtually half the season for fans to be convinced that the team is a winner, and only then will they attend the games.  All of the better players leave, so the following year fans will wait out half the season and may start attending if the team has maintained its quality.

I think you would be better off marketing events as a community affair. IE. Football marketing the popcorn fest game as the "Festival Grand Finale". 

 

Yes. You have to replace the roster every year, but that's the reality of college athletics now. Hence why I said just give out free tickets to school kids. You have to build a fanbase and community presence again before you can fill seats with paying customers. The athletic department seems to know this as the number of themed nights for home games is increasing
