Am I imagining things, or has Valpo also assembled a group of undersized but talented receivers who appear to be stepping up?
@david81 undersized yes. Stepping up, maybe. Overachieving, no. We would have had some house calls vs Adrian.
But this is the cleanest our quick passing, set and throw offense has looked in a while. Which is rather saying something
read the post game write up.I see another coach with another juvenile acronym..F,I.G.H.T....anyone that buys into this crap is childish..Fox had it among others...Powell with Grit/Lottich too....its al so stupid..just worry about winning games

Hate to break it to you. But just about every coach ever has these acronyms. As all levels. No matter what sport. Doesnt matter if its the NFL or Pop Warner
For example: Bellechick - “Do your job” was his mantra for 6 SBs.
Notre Dame - “Play like a champion.”
This is normal and sets certain goals and behavioral expectations. OTOH, Carlson’s constant Osteen quotes were, indeed, juvenile and many times pretty irrelevant.
Shields up baby! And listen to the words of Osteen as he jacks up his portfolio!
@usc4valpo USC, you realize that I included Osteen to get your dander up 🤣 But my points are, I think, valid.
Miss Dale
BTW, i hope Waddle continues to schedule noncons the way this season turned out: Easy. More challenge but winnable. Tough with the possible chance of an upset. Really tough with a great paycheck. This is a logical, developmental progression toward the PFL season. But …… easily said than done.

One of my VU classmates played QB for his high school football and shared his coach's mantra:
Be hos-tile.
Be mo-bile.
Be eligi-bile.
LOLOLOL...obviously it cracked me up enough that I haven't forgotten it.

I actually agree that it's stupid but it's pretty common and certainly not limited to Valpo. Whatever post game I watched today showed 5 or 6 locker speeches after NFL games and it was all the same tripe but it is very common tripe.
Lock In.
This year is a total rebuild. Possibly will be better on offense, but it's gonna take awhile and for the coaching staff to get their players in their system. Defense kept them in most games last year, not this year
I bring a memory to Illinois football coach Tim Beckman:
And with that Beckman didnt last long-should spend more time on recruiting
I really dont understand this vendetta against a harmless thing such as a corny acronym. News flash. An Acronym that probably took 5 minutes to create isnt the reason the program is struggling
