The replay I saw showed Keefe still upright but about to get pounded to the ground. Is that what happened?
As far as the future, if Tyler can't go, I'm going with the kid they brought in at the end. Having a QB who is apparently strictly a runner doesn't work in most cases.
Was not watching at that juncture. Just heard. Downey and Long should finish the season at QB1/RB1 imo. Both showed flashes. Defense played competitively again today.
extremely questionable call to go for a reverse pass on 4th and goal to take the lead. 4 point deficit were all missed kicks.
we competed in a PFL game and the young guys played (only 2/22 have to graduate from the last series on O and D). Maybe we’re building. Maybe..
Paul's postgame article mentioned Keefe's injury and, having seen this before to other athletes, I suspect maybe a broken collarbone. A bruised shoulder doesn't get you a trip to the ER.
Jeez, 2 QBs down 🥺
But, FINALLY, a competitive PFL game.
And BTW, Dayton beat PC 😱. And it wasn’t close.
Did not love the verbiage on Downey in the presser. Saying he made mistakes when the game winning play was the Philly special to ….. Downey.
Cecchini had a lot of that in his post game thoughts. Sort of a "we had the right play called and they didn't execute" style. I always found it quite off putting in not accepting and publicly stating that the first people responsible for what happens on the field is the coaching staff.
I noticed that in Waddle's comments. The time to criticize, even slightly, isn't when a kid who's 4th on the depth chart is thrown into a game with 9 minutes left and he did give Valpo a couple of shots at scoring. Do it on Monday or Tuesday when the game is being reviewed with the kid.
I honestly thought it was rather ridiculous considering they left a QB with a 3/12 TD-INT ratio out there.
Also Paul asked a very insightful question about Caron and the support for Rowan going off the field. Waddle brought it back to his FIGHT mantra and that he believes SOME of the kids care about their teammates.
Quite frankly Downey put together one of the best offensive drives all year
