UND’s (1-2) losses are by 3 at FBS-ranked Kansas State and at #5 Montana by 1 point. Scored 50 over Portland State
Looking forward (yeah, right) to a well-compensated body bag game loss. But hopefully UND will be looking past our game and not waking up until the third quarter after looking at only a 28-10 half-time lead. 😱
Hopefully Caron starts and we compete.Their roster is loaded and experienced. Burnee hit the nail on the head. Let’s hope everyone stays safe
About the only thing I can think of to say is K-State is very likely way over ranked so that 3 pt loss for ND isn't as impressive as it would be if K-State was actually good. That said, these guys are really good and let's hope Valpo gets out of there in one piece.
Paul posted the latest FCS top 25 on X UND is now #17. Doesn’t mean very much this early in the season, but they are getting some respect.
I will say that the way this schedule spilled out (two relatively easier games followed by two progressively harder buy games followed by a recovery bye week) is a lot better than jumping right into the PFL schedule — especially at Drake (plays #2 SDSU and #12 USD back-to-back) which seems to be loaded.
In yet another change but one asked for by much of this board, Caron Tyler will get the Week 4 start at QB, per the two-deep.

And, hopefully, provided with a longer leash even if he has a fumble, sack or throws a pick. The kid has shown that he has the capacity to move past mistakes
Ships dont get fixed overnight folks. Put up a good fight here and tune up for conference play. PFL play is the only thing that matters
Should be a pretty full house this afternoon. It’s their Homecoming weekend 🙀 plus they are dedicating their new Hall of Fame display.

Very close prediction so far 16. VU 7 (yes, that’s seven 🙀) USD ahhhh… only 45 in Q3.
I’m only on LiveStats, so just looking at words and numbers. What I see after a 0-7 Q1 deficit, Valpo has been overwhelmed by a tsunami of collapses and mistakes — of course, forced by UND. At least for a quarter we earned our paycheck.
Sidebar: Andy, welcome to FCS football.
The jump from DIII to scholly FCS is enormous - and we are definitely not scholly nor are we Ivy. This is year ONE of your effort. We need the buy games, no doubt, but the true measure is VU needs to occasionally scare/beat a couple of the lower level FCS teams (NEC, Patriot, et.al) to assure that we are PFL-competitive. How you do that is not how you methodically build a DIII program. Different playing field. If you are pragmatic and agile in your approach, you’ll do fine.
If you can swing it, my schedule progression hope for 2026 is DIII >> NAIA/DII >> NEC/Patriot/Ivy >> Body Bag v. MVFC/Big Sky/ OVC.
The good news is that Valpo can but Dot’s Pretzels at a discount before flying back!
Appears like they called off the dogs in Q4, but even their puppies are playing tough. We still can’t get another score. 2 minutes left.
FINAL: 7-58.
Couldn’t watch, but Caron didn’t seem to have many snaps.
Watched until mid 4th. Guys played hard. Score got out of hand due to some short fields. Competitive first half ND opened up play book mid second.
Think Rowan is the best bet at running Florence’s offense this season. Maybe win a PFL game or two. Probably ceiling
