The Baha Mar Hoops Summer League has started with Louisville crushing the Bahamas National Team on Tuesday. Attached is the schedule for this MTE. Tomorrow the event shifts into second gear.

This trip should be really fun for everyone involved in the program. Basketball and the team outreach event Valpo is doing will be the focus but certainly there will be plenty of time for team bonding and enjoying BahaMar. We have seen many teams kickoff great seasons by having an overseas summer trip and sometimes those successful seasons start with weird looking box scores in July/August.
As Bryan mention in his "Brief," Carleton is always good. I believe they have won 16 championships in the last 20 years. If you recall, the Valpo runner-up NIT Championship team in 2015-16 that won 30 games lost to Carleton by 18 on their summer trip to kick-off that incredible season. Looking at Carleton's box score from their scrimmage against Bucknell last week, it appears Carleton's 2 best returning players did not play in that game (and it was still a close game). Who knows if they will play in the Bahamas. They are always good and it will be a great tune-up for our guys and staff regardless of outcome. Should be fun to follow along and I look forward to reports form anyone that goes on the trip.
