Did the campus get hit hard?
Good question. Spotted somewhere that northern Lake County was rated as a derecho event and Valpo missed that but undoubtably has many limbs and trees down. The worst rainfall and wind seems to have missed Porter County. Munster will not be back to normal for months.

Porter County and Valparaiso did get hit hard. Portage, Valpo and Chesterton were largely without power and had/still have a plethora without power and closed roads.
As for the school it remains closed today despite a majority of campus regaining its power
