Kentucky beat Nicholls by 26. The line has Kentucky as 32.5 point favorite. Will we likely lose-yes. But, can’t imagine that we will get beat by more than 32.5 pts. I hope we can keep less than 20 point loss and have better shooting percentage than this past Tuesday.

I don't want to see a game in which Valpo shoots 50% from 3 and still loses which would be very likely. Save the good games for the winable games. This ain't that.

With that being said, I want our guys to go into this game thinking that we can beat UK on their home court. The coaching staff continues to say that they want to put Valpo back on the map, and this is the perfect game to do it. Why not us?
With that being said… it is good to have realistic expectations. There is a realistic chance we lose by 30+. Kentucky has one of the best defensive units in the country.

Its worth noting that while there is a spending cap of 20.5 million with the house settlement opt in, that only applies for university funding. NIL collectives can still provide "incentives" that are not calculated into the 20.5 million count. Those "incentives" are the ones that are being checked by the third party NILgo platform for validity.
All this to say that while VU cant give out a lot of funds directly. Nothing is stopping Griegers from giving guys cars. (They wont. Its just an example)

I have an ESPN plus subscription and the tv broadcast seems to be showing up there for me to watch it. I guess I will see come game time if it actually works.
ESPN+ and Disney+ should both work. Obviously there were issues with all Disney streams Tuesday so who knows.
So far it lets me sign in and be on standby for the content. Tuesday I was checking it out and it says something about a content block on YouTube tv. Will have to see if that still holds true come gametime
I do not believe it will work on Youtube TV come gametime. At least google says it will not.
what i did was get a day pass to sling tv for 4.99, and add the “sports extra” add on for 1 dollar. This includes SEC network +, and the game is showing up for me.

We totally need to work on our three-point shooting, but hey, there are definitely some positive signs. Our turnovers haven't been too terrible, and we're doing a good job of not fouling too much. When we focus on driving to the basket instead of just shooting threes, we can really make some progress. I believe that if we improve our three-point shooting and take smarter shots inside the arc, we'll be in a much better position. I have a feeling that by the time conference play rolls around, we'll be among the top 25% of teams in the conference.
I understand shooting can and will most likely improve, but my issue is with the content to settle for early shot clock contested shots.
Powell likes to play fast. But fast basketball can turn into frantic basketball, and this is frantic basketball. Kentucky is playing fast, but is still able to play fast while looking for good shots.
Half the reason our three point shooting is an issue is because most of them are not open shots or are forced. There have been a few possessions that we worked the ball around and generated an open shot. I don’t understand why we dont try to do that every time down the floor.
Also a complete side note: we are getting paid for this game, northwestern, and marquette. Given that we opted IN to the house settlement, are we allowed to spend that money on our roster? I assume that amounts to 7 figures with 3 buy games. We usually only play 1 buy game, and this year we have 3 and im wondering if that could be a strategic way to generate significant NIL funds without relying on alumni?
