Doesnt matter how much thet try to get "involved" in the community.That ship sailed long ago.After Bryce left anyone that was in town that cared about VU dropped off.Valpo is a high school town-the Drews did much to change that and at this point it will not come back

Went the op en practice today and can report that this team may not want n many games but will run you out of the gym if you are not in shape. Really fun and Coach Boyd is the real deal! And there are actually a few players taller than 5’10”!!
Nice win today versus an over matched opponent. Watching the post game presser it is obvious that Courtney is a WAY different coach than what’s her name . Not sure how many games we’ll win this season but Valpo women’s basketball will be back and provide an exciting style. Great stuff!

Is Rhodes hurt? She was our top scoring returner and didn't play.
A positive, our 2 6-3 centers combined for 12 points and 17 rebounds.
It will be a looooooong season. Losing by 38 at DePaul and 30 at Detroit. What genius thought starting with 3 games on the road made sense. Next game is at #14 Iowa State and they may beat us by 50.
Our top 4 scorers (5 if you count the injured Jackson) either graduated or transferred plus the next 2 returning scores are hurt and we weren't very good last year. Patience will be the word for this season.

I'm not sure how good a coach Coach Boyd will be but there is no doubt her personality is engaging and soooo much more interesting and informative than Mary Evans.

Coach Boyd is getting absolutely roasted on social media for the lack of double-team defense against Crooks:

Honestly I watched parts of the game and it was pathetic that they allowed Crooks to dominate as if it was a stroll in the park. Crooks looked bored scoring 43 points in 22 minutes. Boyd deserves the critique.
