I suppose this happens fairly regularly given the non-scholarship nature of playing at Valpo. Bargy plays at Grapevine which is near my home. It’s a middle to upper class area. Now, without doing any research, let’s say he was a “B” student. So this kid isn’t getting a lot of money for grades and maybe not much due to family resources. So the draw of playing D1 all of a sudden starts to fade when the financial realities start to kick in.
Or maybe, after dealing with ice for a week down here made the reality of dealing with it for three to four months a little less attractive.
