2026 Valpo Football Alumni Golf Outing

Hello everyone,

We are bringing back the VUFB Alumni Golf Outing for the 2026 season! This year's outing is set for Friday, October 9th at Forest Park Golf Course, and it is open to alumni, parents, friends, and sponsors of the VU Football Program. Currently, foursomes are available with sponsorship packages, and basic foursome packages will become available in the coming weeks. Dinner and drinks will be provided with the foursome packages as well.

Additionally, we will be hosting raffles and a silent auction after golfing is complete. We are looking for donations for raffle/auction items. Contact information is included on the website if you are interested in donating.

Chicago State officially announced football starting next year as a FCS Independent followed before heading to the NEC. They have a coach, no players or assistants that this point.

Dey was likely the highest touted FR RB we had. Staff preferred Rumoro. Caron leaves with a .500 record. Twitter film was a very fun watch. Kid was bought in. Sad to see him go. .500 Valpo QB

Massey has Butler as a 94% favorite at home, quite the split for two sub .500 teams. Think this one will be close and come down to turnovers. Win here would push Waddles first season to the B / B+ personally. Stetson win helped a lot

Hatters travel hundreds of miles and despite having two PFL wins Massey has them ranked lower than Valparaiso. 80% of their roster was flipped in the summer and they lost last three games 30-135.

They have multiple freshman in key spots. If we lose this game you have to begin wondering if it’s the staff. I am glad Waddle acknowledged the turnover problem in the weekly update, how does one fix the turnover problem?

Valpo is 2-1 against the torreros in their last 3 games. The Torerros have a brand new coach. Who is in his second year of coaching overall. They are 5-4 with wins over Princeton, Saint Thomas, Davidson, Dayton.

Valparaiso needs to compete on Saturday. A Coach 100+ games in should have a competitive advantage over someone in their second season coaching in Brandon Moore. (Moore was in the National championship in Division 2 last season in year 1 of that tenure)

Sam Johnson in big win

Well, there is hope for Valpo football accolades. USC and former Valpo punter Sam Johnson came through big in the Trojans road game in a blackout against Nebraska. With 3:30 left in the game and SC up 4, Johnson on 4th down punted beautifully to pin the Huskers at the 3 yard line. This punt was critical to prevent Nebraska from a score. Great job Sam, go Crusaders and Fight on!

Valparaiso looks to take on Presbyterian at their place following a close loss to Morehead State. Presbyterian likely lost their PFL playoff bid and undefeated regular season last week. Massey gives us a 9% chance of winning.

Hope fully the young guys play again and we see some glimpses.
