Very doable with this next opponent. E-ville is fast pace and loves to jack up 3s but it could be a blood bath if they have a hot shooting night. If its one those nights for E-ville it might be tough for us to keep up with our lack of offensive firepower with this team.

UE is the 344th fastest in the nation, aka the 7th slowest offensively. This looks like another MVC grinder. Besides the 39 point outburst in the final 10 vs UNI, 11 of the last 12 "quarters" from Valpo offensively have been less than 18 points. Many less than 15. They will need to make some jumpers tonight against the pack line style D of UE.

This is a really fun team to watch. Very athletic and excels in transition. This team's offensive philosophy is completely different from past Valpo Teams. This team isn't slowly bringing the ball up the court and running offensive sets like we did under Bryce and last year team. Coach Lottich is really letting them press the ball and shoot threes. This team sort of actually reminds me of how Kampe's teams play offensively. We held RMU to under 70 points but I didn't think we play all that well defensively. Definitely room for improvement. This really is a whole new era of Valpo Basketball. You can see the potential with this team!

Was the tempo increase just a factor of the opponent's press? Or do we think we'll actually see some up and down play this season?

Any news on Walker tonight? Seems likely out to me. Could really use him guarding either Bradshaw or Barnette. They might be the best shooting backcourt in the nation. 164-409 (40%) last year, 43-96 (44%) this year from 3. Yikes.
