Open Looks Created By The Offensive Game Plan (or lack thereof) + Player Skill/Development = Shooting Percentages....I'm not on the fire Lottich wagon yet but he is solely responsible for our inability to score the basketball...not a rough shooting night or injuries.

Markus Golder with another really productive game.  Since the Purdue debacle Golder is 10-21 from the field, 5-6 from 3PT, and 5-6 from the FT line.  He attacks the basket and seems to get after it defensively and he's only a sophomore.

Anyone plan on making the drive down?  I'll be in section 109.

Valpo Basketball / Re: 2017-18 VU Schedule

If my memory serves me right, I thought the rumor was Valpo was going to play in a tournament that featured an ACC school?  I'm happy Valpo is playing in any pre-conference tournament.  It's great exposure for the program and gives VU a chance to get some resume wins i.e. BYU/Alabama.  I really enjoyed making the trip out to Vegas and I'll be headed to Savannah too but I was hoping Valpo could get getting another neutral court game against a power-5 school.

I believe Valpo and Northwestern have had closed door scrimmages in recent years...I'm sure NW was just waiting for Alec to leave to schedule a game.

Northwestern must have been the Big Ten team Mark LaBarbera referenced.

5-0 vs. Missouri State
0-1 vs. Evansville
1-0 vs. Drake
2-0 vs. Indiana State

3-0 vs. Murray State (seems to be preferred choice of MVCfans.com)

Call me a glass is half full kinda guy but Paul Oren tweeted that Peters injury possibly happened February 4th against Green Bay.  Peters played on Senior night and Lottich was hoping Valpo could win at least 1 of 2 road games for a share of the HL regular season championship and locking up a 1 or 2 seed while resting him.  The post senior night break gives Peters a little over a week of rest to get ready for the HL tournament.  Maybe this was planned?
