Decided to subject myself to watching the first half of the Detroit vs Connecticut game. Detroit down 48 to 26 at the half. Needless to say Detroit might be the worst team in the HL, look terrible both on offense and defense. Other than that they're playing really well.

Wow, Detroit is bad!  I wouldn't think that even a solid CT team would beat them by 46!!

First, I believe the taste in the mouths of the detroit players is bitter... after the crap they've pulled in the past couple of years, it was nice to see someone hand them a karate chop.

Second, Some of you may know that RLH was a close personal friend of Kampe.  I had a rather lengthly set of emails with him over Dick's last days, and I told him when Dick passed away.  Kampe was graceful, thoughtful and truly cared.

Well, that does my heart good to hear.  I will ratchet up my opinion of him accordingly.

Dick Harlan would not associate with fools.

Although I do think a lot of the person who had bad experiences with him.  SO not out of my woods yet.

Yep, what goes around comes around; a.k.a. the law of reciprocity, karma, and retributive justice.  It's too bad it couldn't have happened to the group of knuckleheads that perpetrated it; then again, maybe winning 0 conf. championships and only 1 tournament championship over their time there, despite having the most talent in the league, is payback enough.

I can almost bet this game against UCONN was scheduled before Ray, JR jumped to the NBA. The Titans had to be overmatched, but I haven't watched the ESPN3 coverage yet

If I were you I would spare yourself the pain. Detroit might just be the worst HL team. I know UCONN is ranked and all but still, they have nobody, I repeat nobody who can play. When Evan Bruinsma is your star player you're in trouble. I watched that Brundidge kid from Michigan, he doesn't look like anything special either. Detroit is gonna be this year's Milwaukee.

Eww, Murray State just lost to an Old Dominion team that was terrible last year (5-25 in 2012-2013).  Milwaukee beats another team??  Oakland plays with Cal?  What a weird day!

And Jr seems to be personna non-grata on the Kings these days, for reasons passing my understanding.

Since this thread is a kind of hodgepodge, I hope no one minds me pointing out something Ray McCallum and Hrvoje Vucic have in common:

they both have yet to play a minute in an NBA game.

Gotta wonder if Coach Wardle said something to the Phoenix player who got in Sykes way when he was trying to get a game tying three point shot off against Wisconsin in the last few seconds.

Was it "You @!$#%@#$!@ dumb $#@#!#%$#@! Get your #%$^@#! out of the way!!!!!!!

Or was it "Let's do better on our picks."

What's with UWM?  4-1 with a win over Davidson and a 4 game win streak including the NIU Invitational title.  And they are playing a bunch of games back in the US Cellular ctr this season including our game there.
