Here are some outcomes that you may not have seen on Sportcenter last night or this morning.
First, Army picked up its first win of the season by beating the John Jay College of Criminal Justice by a score of 92-43. It is likely that John Jay's strategy of filing appeals and change of venues was not able to overcome Army's staunch defense. Second, perennial favorite (on this board) Chicago State notched its first victory over Silver Lake College of Manitowoc, WI. Chicago State pulled away to a 101-53 win after only leading by 9 early in the second half. Silver Lake played over 10% of its undergraduate men in the game (this is actually true). And Horizon League dark horse, Youngstown State, got back to its winning ways by beating the Franciscan Barons 134-46. It is not known if Franciscan's mascot, Baron von Stueben, made the trip to Youngstown from Steubenville.
And some of you think WE have some cupcakes in our pre-season schedule...Wow!
