A lot of minutes tonight for AP...not a lot of production. 27 minutes 0-5 shooting. Handful of rebounds.

My gosh.   I had peeked at Alec's box scores, but not the Suns' record.

They have won just a SINGLE GAME since January 31.

They went 1 for February and O for March.      :o :o

Alec Peters has yet to win a game in the NBA. Last night was the closest.

They won last night, but no sign of Alec. Maybe they'll try to avoid converting his contract after all?

He played 12 minutes on Easter in a (another) loss.

talks about Alec nearly doubling his season total minutes in four games. And about the possibility of the Suns clearing out some youth to make room for a few veterans for next season.

According to Alec's stat page he played 11 minutes last night in the Suns 97-94 win over the Kings. Alec didn't take any shots except 2 FTs which were both missed. He was credited with 2 assists, 1 foul and no rebounds.

The Suns look like they want to give him a look here and that could continue with Alex Len (ankle) hurting. Peters hasn't played well and there's hardly a trend he'll get big minutes, so leave him on the wire for now. Mar 30 - 11:21 PM

When I read about Alec's experience this year and compare to that of Ryan Broekhoff, I wonder whether pursuing the NBA dream is worth it.  Getting minimal playing time for a bottom dwelling NBA team does not bode well for the future.  On the other hand Ryan seems to be quite happy playing and being a star playing ball in Europe.

It is always worth pursuing dreams!

VU2014

It's definitely worth it. If he could catch on with a team and one day be a key bench player the financial gain for him would be huge. Not to mention he'd get to live out his childhood dream. Have a little faith. There is never a simple path. Playing at the top levels of Europe will always be a option for Alec as long as he remains healthy (knock on wood).

PHX provides one of the best opportunities for Alec this season and next.  On another team, his 8-10 minutes per game would be much less.  Work hard, do the little things that don't end up in the box score, and others will notice.

Good! Happy to be wrong here. ESPN agrees with your version

Somehow the box score linked from Phoneix's own web page
http://www.nba.com/suns/schedule#gref
leaves off Daniels (who started?!), Williams, and Alec. But, indeed, the total game minutes don't work without them.

Maybe they'll write Alec a new contract after all.

Last night Alec put up 8 points on 3/4 shooting in 10 minutes of play time against the Warriors. Box Score

It was the Suns' last home game of the year. They have one remaining game at Dallas tomorrow night.

I tend to agree but it is a two way street. the Suns are a dumpster fire and have been since game one. They are not in a position to take advantage of what Alec might offer.

Peters has been bad in the NBA, but the premise of the article is absurd:  "Phoenix doesn't have time to wait for him to grow as a player."

Phoenix is a terrible team and is years away from competing in the West. They have more time than any team in the NBA.

This was the game Alec needed!

Box Score

Granted, it was the last game of the season between two tanking teams, but still. Damn impressive numbers, and he did it on an NBA court. Congratulations to him!

That performance could ultimately be worth millions!  He deserves it!!
