The lead fund raiser for Valpo athletics has left.  He worked at Valpo for 6 years.  Perhaps frustration with failing to get it done was getting to him or perhaps getting back to a Catholic school (he is a graduate of Notre Dame) made a difference.  I'll miss him.  A really good guy.

Holy Cross College in South Bend fields a TOTAL of 8 varsity teams. Quite a difference from Valpo. John gains a VP role, but ......

Gonna miss him as well. Good man.

And, 500 total students.  I'm sure his role will deal much more with the overall advancement of the school versus just athletics.  I guess being that close to his Alma Mater would be ideal for him and the close proximity would logically make him a candidate for any similar opening at Notre Dame.

When I first read this here and on the basketball forum I thought it was a move to Worcester.

I believe this is the same job Mike Brock left VU for a few years back. He is now on staff at ND.

Notre Dame must be still getting us back for stealing Keogan for a while. It's coming up on the 100th year anniversary and Notre Dame retribution just doesn't die.
