Actually, Valpo is ranked #154 in a tie with 9 others.  ;D

In checking on the other Missouri Valley schools, Valpo comes in third behind Loyola and Drake. Illinois State is the best of the publics, while Indiana State and Missouri State are way down the list.  Of the regionals, Evansville sneaks ahead of Bradley (#4 vesus #5) with Northern Iowa making the top 25 in the Midwest.

As for the Engineering rankings, it become a big seller for the football team, with many coming to Valpo for that purpose. Valpo ranks #2 if not counting the military schools, in schools playing D1 football. Counting the military schools we rank #5. It has to be a great selling point.

The school ranked above 160 is ranked 153. Thus, all nine schools tied for the next available slot--that would be 154.  If we tied for 160 then no one was ranked 154-159. Not sure why they do the ranking they way they do but if Valpo finished tied for third in the conference, with three other teams, they wouldn't say we tied for 6th.

There are seven schools tied for 153rd. Thus, the next spot after those schools is 160th. But i do like your math!
