As of right now, Valpo leads the nation in a team statistic - any guesses?

Hints:
-It is not 2 Pt FG %, though I think Valpo is in the top 10
-To my knowledge, Valpo has probably never been close to leading the nation in this stat.

I'd have to guess free throws attempted or free throws made, given how many we've shot the last few games.

Wow - great guess.  It is free throws attempted (not per game - total).  I have never seen a Valpo team get so many FTs from going inside so well....and then run a pretty good FT% (around 71%).  Combine that with (hopefully) improved three point shooting and you would have something special.

We haven't had the slashers that we do now, as well as the post presence for awhile.  Raitis got fouled a good bit, but I can't remember anyone else doing that too much (Oppland?).  Stalin Ortiz is one of the only guys I remember from my time in school that actually went to the basket consistently.

Hey that's great. Now let's get our threes percentage up there, and we should hope to win a lot more "close ones" that used to get away.
