Title: Comparing the ARC to A-10 arenas
Post by: VULB#62 on July 27, 2016, 09:23:35 AM
I saw this on the ESPN site and thought it fun to compare how the ARC would fit uno the spectrum of arenas in the A-10.  IMO, we'd be pretty competitive.

Agreed.  At 5000 seats we would be bigger or equal to seven of the 14 teams.  Last year are average home attendance was 3573 or 71% of capacity.  Comparing that to say, GW, who has a capacity of 5000 but only averaged 3127.

The arenas were ranked by home floor advantage -- we' be in the top 5. The ARC is a snake pit on good nights.

Yes, let's keep it that way, For all those who want to have a larger arena.  Keep what we have just update it!

I keep saying we can add to the north side first level to give us badly needed training, concessions and lavatory facilities and above that add another small gym and another 500 bleacher seats that colapse forward to the track.  Put in permanent bleachers on the east end line (because the concessions have been moved) for another 250, and we have an even crazier atmosphere while upping the capacity within reason to about 6K.

I like your thoughts, #62.  Improved and additional  seating, along with much needed improvements for concessions and rest rooms are a must.
