We certainly had some rough spells in this one.    In fact, I remember saying that we looked like a struggling high school team for a stretch.   

However, the guys figured it out and I'm thinking this win will be a nice coincidence boost.

- Smits looked great against some bigger players...   

- We did a great job of stealing their inside passes.

- Fazekas does best at stepping into a shot.  If he's more selective his % will improve.

Was thinking about the suspension....   If any of you have a dog think about how it would work to yell at your dog today for pissing on the rug 9 months ago....   dumb...

Starters for this exhibition game is not that important to me. I just hope a lot of players see the court. I am a true basketball fan but must admit I don't always see what coaches see in players. I usually get surprised because some player will have an amazing first couple games and then rarely see the court the rest of the season...

I think the only goal for tonight is to see the team work well together....

Third place prediction....   Very cool but I pick Valpo in the middle of the pack.  My favorite part was hearing Evansville picked last place...  (Best Man in my wedding went there so I loved hearing this)

All I want for year one is to end the season better than Evansville (hahaha)

I fully support the team deciding not to play a game....   sometimes a statement is necessary.

(While I understand punishment for doing something wrong - I think stringing everyone along and then doing this is insane ....   maybe I will follow something else for a while....)

Glad to get some responses on this thread.   I just think that a couple games you can leave everyone in the dark.   However, this long and it might be time for someone to make some noise.

Before I thought maybe Jubril wanted to keep it quiet but his recent (deleted) tweet makes that assumption flat out wrong.   At a third of the season it is time to make an announcement.

Reporters should be pushing now....   (again - I think Jubril wants it pushed or he would not have tweeted.)  Also - I rarely do this but I just researched suspensions and this is quite long when reviewing other infractions...

I think about the attention teams get when they band together for a player.   Even if he did something wrong he deserves to know the penalty and again the recent tweet sounded like he does not know and other players did not know.

I really thought the twitter chatter the other day was going to come to something....   guess not.

It just seems like something the team would comment on and I would think that some of the bigger sports reporters would be asking now that Alec got national recognition for overtaking Bryce's records.

I loved the commentator statement during espn3 replay....

Said something like "The new detroit coach is bringing integrity and morals back to Detroit Mercy basketball."   Uh - that might be a slam on coach McCallum....

I was asking about Lexus because we have noticed in a couple games he gets pulled at the end and I was not sure if others thing he struggles....   I also question because I thing he does better at controlling the offense art the end and we have had a couple games where the end of the game we struggle and my wife realized that we have pulled our starting point.   (Even have had Shane and Alec running the point at the end of a couple games - remember Shane's turnovers in a recent game)

Maybe Lexus was not showing but he controls the point better than Shane to end games)

Hahaha - at the Valpo/uic game and they were throwing uic shirts into the stands.   My wife leaned over and said "I don't need another painting shirt"
