I said 7.  I think the Detroit game isn't nearly as big as winning in Ohio this coming week. If we can take care of the Ohio games then I believe we have a 2 game cushion to play with, which can be lost by losing at home against Detroit, but with the crowd we should have on a Saturday for an ESPN2 game...
Speaking of home court advantage, I don't think we win in GB. I don't think anyone wins in GB the rest of the year which kind of scares me. If they win out then I think Detroit falls to the 3 seed which would only make me happier.

Horizon is getting 2 TV games so I'd say its safe to assume Valpo will get one.

Two teams were selected for ESPN telecasts, with the opponents to be announced at 6:30 p.m. EST on the ESPNU Selection Show. The seven other matchups will be released at 7 p.m. EST, following the conclusion of the selection show. Balance: With five teams sitting within 2 games of each other in the League standings, the Horizon League continues to display remarkable balance. Eyes will be focused on the Resch Center this weekend, where third-place Green Bay hosts a Wright State squad that sits a half-game behind the Phoenix in the League standings. On Saturday, second-place Detroit visits Green Bay in the Horizon League Network Game of the Week. The 2010-11 Horizon League regular season featured the first three-way tie for first place in the conference's history, while last year featured a three-way tie for third place. More of the same could be in store this year, as Valparaiso holds a half-game lead on Detroit, with Green Bay sitting in third, one-half game ahead of Wright State and Youngstown State.

Valpo and Detroit playing back to back on ESPN2 would set up a nice "Hey you saw these two play last weekend on ESPN2, now watch them play 2 of the better midmajors from other conferences". Valpo-Ohio and Detroit-Akron would set up a nice Horizon vs MAC battle too.

We're 7th which should guarantee one of the 9 ESPN2/ESPNU games. I'm hopeful that we get one of the 5 ESPN2 games, as that will help raise our recruiting profile.  I'm hesitant to say our current profile is enough to warrant an ESPN2 game, but we've played on the Uno already this year, the U twice and ESPN3 (which doesn't mean much really) four times. We're scheduled for 2 more appearances on the deuce and one more on the U. Clearly ESPN wants us on their networks, I think they'll bump us up to play a higher profile game on ESPN2 and Ohio would be a good match up of Midwestern schools.

Just voted again and we're still at 6th but the Bonnies are up to 7th.

In 2005 (give or take) when Jarryd Loyd capped off that 72-71 upset over Milwaukee at the ARC, I hung out in the old (and I mean OLD) Crusader Chat room with someone whose handle was StlUWMFan.  All he had for the game was Todd's call and he was just going off on Todd's home-town 3pter call for being over-the-top excitement.  I asked, "have you ever listened to Bob Ramsey?"  If I'm a fan forced to listen to the opponent's pbp, I'd much rather listen to Todd than The Rammer.

My memory must be crap, because I remember an upset over one of the Wisconsin schools and storming the court.  I could have sworn it was in the 06-07 season.  I go to ESPN to look it up and we lost by 3 to Marquette and didn't play UWM.  Unless they are missing games from that season. It had to have been either 05-06 or 06-07 because I was at Valpo and hadn't transferred yet.
