UM, continued their unbeaten streak, beating our valiant VB ladies in straight sets.  With one match ( @ W. Mich,) Carin Avery's team has 20 wins, for the 10th straight season.  Congratulations to this young team for a hard fought season.  They provided their supporters with many good wins.

Do we think this match with Western Michigan will be played? Carin Avery has commonly scheduled a match between the end of the HL tourney and the 1st round of NCAAs to keep fresh, but with Valpo not looking at going to NCAAs, even at-large, I could see this match with Western Michigan be cancelled. It will be interesting to see what happens.

They always play this game after the conference tournament, regardless of making the NCAA tourney.  She has been doing this for many years regardless of moving on, to give the team either one last match together, or a tune-up for the NCAA tournament.

They're playing WMU. Here's the end of yesterday's VB story on valpoathletics.com:

Valparaiso (20-14) will close out the season next Saturday, Nov. 26 with a single match at Western Michigan.  First serve is slated for 6 p.m. CST, with live statistics available through www.valpoathletics.com.

"We're excited to get back on the court next Saturday at Western Michigan and have one last match together as a team," said Avery.
