"The only time we guarded was through the first media timeout of the game," Donlon said. "(That's) where we guarded and played like the way we play."

North Florida (2-4) shot 57.1 percent in the game, including 23-of-33 (69.7 percent) inside the arc. With good-sized guards, the Ospreys of the Atlantic Sun Conference got 19 points from junior Jerron Granberry and 11 points from 6-6 Travis Wallace.

Wright State countered with 15 points from Julius Mays and 13 points and seven rebounds from A.J. Pacher, but the Raiders watched North Florida pull away in the second half.

"Any time we had a couple stops in a row," Pacher said, "we couldn't keep it up."

North Florida used a 13-0 run spanning both halves to go up 37-29 with 16:59 left. Wright State responded with a Mays 3-pointer, and the Raiders eventually whittled the deficit to three points (47-44 with 9:06 left) on two straight drives from Mays.

From there, UNF outscored Wright State 22-8 while continuing to put in shots.
