In the CSU/WSU game the Raiders showed they can play the defense needed to win games. CSU barely pulled it out in the last second with a tip in by D'Aundary Brown for a 45-43 win. It was a very intense defensive game.

Milwaukee pulled away from Loyola in the 2nd half at Milwaukee. The Panthers won the battle of the boards 42-20, they only had 7 turnovers and scored 34 points in the paint. Milwaukee trumped the Ramblers 59-41 as the Panthers played some very stingy defense also.

Green Bay barely outlasted UIC in 71-68 game in GB. UIC made 7 of 9 three pointers in the 2nd half to keep the game close but when the Flames were 3 points down and the clock winding down at the end of the game UIC's Daniel Barnes was in the midst of putting up a game tying three pointer but the ball was poked away by GB and the Phoenix ran out the clock.

A better YSU Penguin team beat a depleted Detroit team 64-61 at Calihan Hall in Detroit. The score at half was 35-34 YSU and the game was close all the way. In the end Chase Simon scored with 1.1 seconds left to make it 62-61 and fouled YSU's Kendrick Perry, who had 13 points. Perry promptly made his 2 free throws for the win. DuShawn Brooks had 24 for YSU. Good road win for the Penguins who are 5-1 and looking fairly strong as compared to previous years.
