3-15 NIT 1st Round Vermont at Cleveland State

How about the end to that Cleveland State game?  I had thought CSU would play as the much better team, but they did not, just eeking it out.  The made shot by Vermont with 5 seconds left was remarkable, as was the near-make at the buzzer.

CSU has an easy draw, playing Charleston (a 6 seed who beat Dayton) next.  I hope they can advance fairly deep, and make the HL proud.

An easy draw, are you kidding? Charleston blew Dayton away.  Not really close.  I think Vegas will make CSU the dog.

Did you see it?  Very early in the highlight package, after Cole hit one of us layups, the CSU defender was bear hugging the Vermont player who was trying to receive an inbounds pass, daring the ref to call a foul.

Yeah, I definitely saw the arms around the stomach in the first :30 seconds of the highlight reel. It didn't seem like they were able to get away with as much of the dirty pool because these weren't Horizon League officials, which is real nice for postseason play, that you don't get a crew that works in the same conference as the two teams playing.

Yes.  An easy draw.  Cleveland St.'s RPI is 37, Charleston 67.  CSU is 15-2 at home, Charleston 9-7 on the road (12-9 away from home).  I doubt Charleston will be favored.

The team that really got screwed over was Dayton, as a 3 seed having to play at the 6 seed because the first four games of the NCAA tournament were being held in their arena.
