Connecticut has just passed a law to allow the purchase of alcohol on Sundays. Ct. is the 49th. state to do so. The 50th state, the one that doesn't allow Sunday alcohol sales is - - - - - you guessed it _ INDIANA! What a backward state. :snore:

When I lived in Indiana, I never understood this law.  I also never understood how the winery lobby was able to pass an exception for wineries on Sundays - they can be open and sell wine!

In Miinnesota the liqour stores are closed on Sunday. You can buy 3.2 beer in the grocery stores but no wine.  Not sure what setshot is referring to but in Minnesota that's it.

nodak still has a fairly strong blue law, but after noon, you can still buy alcohol along with everything else. unless it's easter sunday. apparently state law prohibits the sale of any alcohol on easter sunday, and our wal-mart liquor store in minot got burned for it this year.
