Coach Bill Koch Passed away at age 93 on Monday, August 28, 2023.

Visitation at Immanuel Lutheran Friday from 3-5pm, funeral at Immanuel starting at 5pm.

Prayers for LaDonna and family.

I'm sure more information will be posted shortly.

Bill has been a good friend for nearly 50 years.  I will miss his wit and wisdom.

Thanks for sharing this. He was a decent man for sure and represented Valparaiso University well

Oh my, a name from nostalgia lane. I took one of our required physical education classes from him. Old school, seemed like a genuinely good man. RIP.

He joined the FB staff around when I matriculated. Hope his passing was peaceful.  RIP coach.

Sorry to see this news.  Coach Norm Amundsen was my Professor/Teacher for what I believe was a weightlifting/training class during my FR year, but Coach Koch would often drop by to chat with what seemed like his friend (Amundsen).  This was 23 years ago, so he definitely lived a long and eventful life.

I believe he and Bill Steinbrecher were teammates/classmates on the Cigar Bowl team.

I went to the source.  Bill steinbrecher lives around the corner from me.  He said no. fame. Koch was on the 4 and a half year plan.  That last semester, he was the grad assistant on the football team.  That was steinbrechers first term as a freshman.

Bill S will be at the services on Friday.   Unfortunately having to forego the chance to watch Jon Steinbrecher throw out the first pitch at the White Sox game.
