He could play for Russ Radtke, and they could call the new school "Conner Prairie"
For those that are scratching their heads, Russ Radtke is a NW Indiana HS Football coach, now at New Prarie HS.  In Indiana HS Football coaching, he is number 7 in all time wins (number 2 in active leaders).  He should move up the list this season.

It appears we will be getting some help on the defensive line from a 6'3" 230 lb. UNC grad!

He could have, as it appeared that he was using his graduate year to use up his last year of eligibility.  However, I'm speculating that he weighed the commitment against the possibility that he would be a backup and decided it wasn't worth it.  He was a walk-on at UNC and played very little -- hardly any minutes and very few defensive statistics.

The team roster now shows 96 players, down 4 from the 100 who were on the roster at the mid point of the summer.  At one point the combination of returning players and new players was 107 but a number of recruits opted out before the preseason, then three freshman did not report despite being assigned numbers, and now Petrocelli turned in his cleats.

I don't think this is too much of an issue for the staff.  At the Milwaukee meet & greet during the BB season, I asked Coach Cecchini about the roster and he said Valpo carried a lot more players than he was used to.  At Lehigh they like to have a roster of around 85 (the 2014 roster has 89).  The real issue is the talent  that is left inside those numbers. So far, the biggest loss has been Bama Powell on the returning side, but I couldn't speculate on the recruit side.
