Symmes has a fascinating resume. QB work with stops at Duke, Florida, IU and South Carolina, then the Steelers. The only odd ball was his last stop at ECU as a defensive analyst.

I, too, am excited about the publicity Valpo will likely receive from the 25th anniversary of "The Shot." That said, I'm wondering how the positive publicity Valpo will receive from "The Shot" will be contextualized. Wouldn't it make sense for context-sake that "The Shot" be discussed in leiu of where Valpo is located ... what it's known for ... and where the program is now? If so, will they explain the mascot change? The fact that ML took over after Bryce left and the post-Drew era is one curently in ... shambles? Yikes. I suppose they'll look for a positive spin since this is supposed to be a heartfelt story but .. the Cindarella story isn't currently projecting toward a "Happily ever After" sort of ending ...
Quote from: usc4valpo on March 12, 2023, 08:14:49 AMFirst off, what analysis? He compiled a list of everybody available. That is some deep stuff. Secondly you hope our best player transfers, now that is a real fan.
Wh, very good analysis.
For Krikke, who has been loyal and played admirably, for his sake I hope he transfers to a better program next year to elevate his game. Staying here has no benefit if he wants to improve his game, especially given the lack of commitment to the basketball program.
Quote from: vu72 on March 10, 2023, 08:22:31 AMAt least two games this year with 0 offensive rebounds which is unheard of. We really aren't young as we played 3 seniors and 4 junior's significant minutes. Brown didn't go thru senior night indicating she could be back. Sadly adding wings that are 5-11 and 6-0 is our definition of adding size.
I watched the game. Ugh! Interestingly enough, both our men's and women's teams lost two extremely close regular season games to a team that blew them out in the first round of tournament play. Why? Because their coaches coach, made adjustments learned and their team actually implemented those changes to exploit our obvious weaknesses. Out rebounded by 15, limited our three point opportunities etc. etc.
Evans at least can point to a very young team with some talent and a little size arriving from recruits. I think one more year for her unless she had a five year deal that just ended. Then a serious discussion needs to be had.
Quote from: valpofb16 on February 26, 2023, 01:12:02 PMThat was quick, he is now a grad assistant at Purdue.
James Gilbert will be RB coach, went to camp with Rams, former Kansas State and Ball State RB
Quote from: Beacboy11 on February 25, 2023, 01:48:14 PMDaughtery going to UIndy. A move to a good D2 program that is rumored to be considering the OVC.
Big news on Daugherty and Lutgens who have been with Fox for a while. Would guess Ghilarducci stays on to be Defensive Coordinator with Fox? At least the defense and recruiting should stay the same between those 2
Quote from: valpofb16 on February 24, 2023, 02:08:33 PMFleming is heading to Lamar. Back to scholarship FCS. Lamar was one of the worst teams in FCS last year
Confirmed Fleming is gone.
My first call would be to Cory Colder
Quote from: VULB#62 on February 24, 2023, 02:14:23 PMIt seems like Fox adds staff knowing they will jump and must be ok with it. The 2 defensive guys don't fall into that but many do.
Wondered how long he'd stay. Shoot, scholarship FCS URI, BC in the ACC, then ....... little ole Valpo?
TOTAL OFFENSIVE STAFF REBUILD
Quote from: VULB#62 on February 24, 2023, 02:14:23 PMYou knew he was a rental but when his wife's sister transferred in to the basketball program I thought we might buy a few years

Quote from: JD24 on February 02, 2023, 02:51:46 PMJust checked 3, Butler has announced 17, Dayton and Drake have not announced yet.
Usually there is an article for NSD but nothing. Was the day so poor that they don't want to talk about it?
Quote from: valpofb16 on November 26, 2022, 08:27:07 AMSigned with Butler
#88 RSFR George Dristiliaris has entered the portal. Backed up Hafner to begin season. Molnar and Elmore began taking reps as season moved on
Quote from: JD24 on February 02, 2023, 02:51:46 PMThere are a couple of forms not in yet I would guess.

Quote from: justducky on January 28, 2023, 05:58:14 PMThis post aged well. I don't always recognize prediction ability but I can recognize a "true fan".
I have no confidence that we will play well tonight and that has kept me at home again. I don't think that anything can change my negativity without a near complete program overhaul. I don't always properly recognize talent and potential but I can recognize failure.
Quote from: Just Sayin on January 28, 2023, 10:58:44 AMI love a Butler loss
Butler is losing games with an ugly dog mascot.

Quote from: valpofb16 on January 22, 2023, 12:32:57 PMI know they had a QB visit recently. It is a tough one with 2 young QB's returning. However you walk in as #3 on the depth chart.
