Wish they would have said something about the 6'1" guy posterizing a 6'10" guy.  Also nice that CSU comes in at #6 with a Mason alley-oop one handed slam.

What's more amazing about that Detroit game.... was the number of missed shots for Alec to get 812 rebounds.   Shooting was really off that night.

Every now and then something happens that's so special, I just can't get enough of it.  Back in the day, I watched "the shot" too many times to count.  I watched Ryan's buzzer beater numerous times before I had my fill.  And now - although I don't have an exact count, I'm guessing I've watched Tevonn's monster dunk at least 30 times (seriously).  It's always fun being a Crusader fan, but every once in a while it's downright thrilling.  :)

Think of how much time you wasted rewinding back then, too. With vines, you don't even have to try.

I would think "sprint down the court to lose your man" wouldn't be such an advanced strategy.  Surely he's talking about more complicated things.  You see it all the time in e.g. pickup Ultimate Frisbee.  But,

"So pretty much the only way that you can stand out is knowledge of the game and thinking ahead and making that extra effort to maybe get around a screen defensively, or learning how to back-screen cut or cut without the ball, because those things come in handy when other players are just as quick and athletic as you are."

Learning how to cut without the ball? Yes, yes he has.

Tevonn is such a good fit for Valpo....

(foreshadowing at 5:50; I am guessing that his ball smarts will get him where he wants to go in life)

Listening to some of the other tapes as well it is clear that Valpo pulled off a real steal.  Tevonn had interest from some high powered US schools.

Was interesting to hear how much Tevonn likes fishing.  As you can see from my avatar I have done some fly-in fishing in Ontario and enjoy it very much.  Would be interesting to get his thoughts on some good lakes.

Walum you live near Valpo? I'm an avid angler myself. I like wading the Yellow when my kids aren't going along.

I live on the North side of Fort Wayne close to 69 and Dupont Road.  Have never been to the Yellow River. Spend time in Steuben County North-east Indiana among other places.
