I voted 5-3.  Wins against SIUE, North Dakota, Trinity Christian and 2 additional in the tourney.

If everything falls into place then 6-2 might be achievable. If everything goes badly then 3-5 is also realistic. With just an average run of luck I am leaning slightly towards 4-4 rather than 5-3. So 4-4 is my vote. If we go the month with no significant injuries or illnesses I would put the chance for a losing record at maybe 20%. Our chances for 6-2 or better are likely less than that. Hopefully all of the surprises will be pleasant ones!

I voted 4-4 cuz I don't have the foggiest notion how this team will perform....... yet. But I'm excited about doing a better job in contributing to WH's December poll.

I would split the first 2 games (Toledo/SLU).
Take a W both from SIU-E and North Dakota.
Get 1 at the Paradise Jam.
And a W from Trinity.
5-3

I voted 8-0 because I am overly optimistic and I wanted to have a chance to be the only one who is right.

govalpogo

I voted 5-3 to show my guarded optimism.  I think 6-2 is possible, worse is also possible.  Very hard to tell exactly how good the team will be, but with Javon fully off the leash this year, I say Valpo has a chance in every game.

I am guessing, but this crew might be the best set of pure athletes we have assembled in the last decade. The issue in my mind is can our athletes overcome height disadvantages.  With good three point shooting and a fast pace we can kill bigger teams. Do we have those qualities in our arsenal?  Time will tell.

Go Valpo!

Ok, Ickow.

I think we will be a .500 team most of the year so I went 4-4.  I do think that even the losses will be at least much more entertaining to watch.

Bigs = ???

6-2.  Bigs?  How big did you want them?  Emil: 6'10", Ben:6'9", Mileek, Ryan and Donovan 6'8".  We may not be as big as some but are guards will many times be bigger than their guards, causing all kinds of mismatches.

I'm coming at this from a different angle, our bigs (??) are untested therefore a question mark.

Fazekas is a lightweight and would get backed down by many opponents just like Sackey and Siggy were against Cedarville.

Mileek has yet to prove a thing in my eyes.  Though many around the program have been his hype men all along.

The freshman are tbd.  That's mainly why I say Bigs = ??

You are correct and I was mostly joking when responding.  The counterpoint might be--"how effective were our "bigs" last year"?  Sure Derrick averaged 12 ppg but how negatively did him getting 12 when play was a snails pace effect the rest of our team?  As for Sorolla, expect Cincy to be disappointed.

Final call. Very good response, and nearly identical vote counts for 6-2, 5-3, and 4-4.

covufan

I guess I missed the deadline.  My vote is 6-2, with wins over Fordham and Bowling Green in the Jam

wh

Well, it looks like 5-3 is going to be the winner.  On to December.
