Excellent news. You've got to admit, that's a huge win for our team.

Disappointing.

FAU loses a heartbreaker. Ken LaVicka, the voice of FAU basketball, is a Valpo grad, class of '06. If you're able to find a recording of him, his cadences are shockingly (or maybe not) similar to Todd's. The influence is undeniable. Congratulations to that program on their great run.

I take no joy in his dismissal, but no doubt it's the right move. Here's to whoever's next setting this program back on the right trajectory.

This is getting pretty vintage in a hurry.

Let's see what CML draws up with Krikke out. I'd hate to see us jack up a three....

Solid student showing. They're always better on Friday and Saturday nights. Really wish MVC would quit scheduling Sunday matinees.

That foul on Krikke was absolutely brutal. How hard is it not to leave your feet when defending a three-point shooter??? Elementary age kids know this and Krikke should know better. Fingers crossed this OT goes better than the last one.

Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but it looks like there are not one, but two teams more terrible than us in the MVC. How about that.

Can't forget to box out on defense in those buzzer beater situations.

0-5..............

98% of the second half was, frankly, embarrassing.

This is a big win for us. I don't care what level our opponent was at -- this team needs to build some confidence as they face the remainder of conference play. Let's hope they got some today.

Brutal choke in another winnable game. Disappointing. Squandered a great performance by Krikke too.

This has been very disappointing.

Always surprises me how much money bigger athletic programs have to work with. NMSU has been one of the worst FBS programs over the last few seasons (obviously not the case this year), and yet $425,000 is still an absurd sum of money that they're happy to fork over to us. And that's still only a fraction of most Power 5 payouts!

I wonder what the buyout is for L never mind, this is not the place for that.

CSU actually won their last game, beating IUPUI 68-58 on Monday. So they're looking at the possibility of a D-1 winning streak and playing with confidence I bet that program hasn't had in a while. Good for them.

In more distant history, 2013 to be exact, the Valpo football team lost 72-12 to Butler, and I seem to recall MLB making an in-season change.

Going to need King to get it going. And everyone needs to step up on perimeter defense! CSU is shooting hot, and this would be an embarassing loss.

Any guesses on attendance? I'm sure the announced number will be inflated a bit but there'll be a lot of empty seats.

Good win today. Glad to see us bounce back. WMU won't be a pushover for their MAC opponents. Great game from King and Krikke.

Blew a 16(?) point lead to one of the worst teams in the MVC....I wish I could say I'm surprised

Barring a late run, disappointing to see us get wiped off our own floor by a mediocre and beatable opponent. Injuries or no, I was hoping for better.

Thought for sure we were going to blow it during that 3:00 min scoreless drought down the stretch. ISU is no good this season but we needed that win and got it. Rarely easy to win on the road regardless. Two in a row, let's hope we can build on this momentum!
#21
Need more ball movement on offense and better perimeter defense if we want to win this one!

I wonder why ISU rebranded their main athletics logo the other year....I liked the one they used to have.

90% of graphics and logo rebrands are a waste of time and money imo

"Big shot in the arm for the Crusaders!"

Way to gut it out, men.

Because I have to have something to complain about: the last 1:25 of regulation and 5:00 of overtime took 28 minutes of real time.....the NCAA should take another timeout away like they did a few years ago.

The Carter cramp here at the end is probably legitimate, but convenient timing for UNI no less, who has no timeouts.

With Green out for them, this is a golden opportunity to steal one against a quality opponent. The threes are falling, which is good. But man, we gotta play better defense and take care of the basketball!

To put it bluntly, JFL is the only player we've had since Peters that I felt confident we could build a winning program around. Until, of course, he transferred. Whether it was truly to be closer to family in Chicago (as if Valpo isn't close enough?) or other factors were at play, we'll never know. But part of building a successful program is keeping those key players happy enough to want to stick around. We've taken enough Ls on the transfer market that I just don't think the culture here behind the scenes is good enough.

Digressing a bit, I like DeAveiro and the energy he brings. Reminds me a bit of Erik Buggs. Hope he gets more minutes.
