I was going to post the lines but you beat me to it. I've wagered against Valpo for the first time ever on tonight's game. I'm in at both 16.5 and 15.5...if they win I'll be thrilled, but after watching the game against UIC I just can't fathom Valpo looking any better on either end vs a very talented Purdue team.

Hopefully the next few social media posts by our guys will be them hitting numerous consecutive three points/free throws instead of dunks.

Our middle school level half court offense with no three point threat is going to make it another long season.

Good work getting that schedule done by those involved.  Without the Covid I think this schedule is still decent enough.

I'd be surprised if Krikke and McMillian were both starters. I'd bet they will rotate those two similar to last year with Mileek starting and Ben coming off the bench then rolling with whoever is being more productive that day down the stretch.

@valpo64...a pay raise for what? Being in the bottom 4 each of the last___ years? You have very low standards for giving out raises (can I work for you)!

Support the extension...it better not have come with a pay raise given what other employees of the university have been through.

General VU Discussion / Re: More Valpo layoffs...

If the university goes down the whole city is in trouble. In the long run I think VU rebounds, going to be rough for a little while though.

No website, doesn't even say university on it anywhere. Terrible. There is another one on  eastbound 94 between the state line and portage (I can't remember exactly where I saw it yesterday).

The crafty righty is right. It won't matter how they look in person this year, we won't be there to see it (prediction). What's going to look best on the tv?!

Still missing...saw a report that someone matching his description was seen on the north end of town near The Dish this afternoon. Bring Rod Home I believe is the Facebook page that is putting out the most frequent updates.

Washington is a 5 star monster of a player. Pretty sure he sat out all last season with an injury.

I'm not disagreeing that they are making right or wrong decisions...I'm saying they probably shouldn't put out too big of a celebration for raising the most money ever (or whatever the distinction would be) when you've made or are making cuts to your employees, their pay, their benefits.

I'm clearly in the minority though, so I'll show myself out.
#64
I guess we disagree on the optics. No biggie.
#65
Didn't forget anything...IMO it'd look pretty bad to celebrate all the money you've raised when you're in the midst of cutting back. I know that's run me the wrong way if I were on the receiving end of one of these cuts.
#66
Probably not something to celebrate too much about since VU has payed off so many people, forced pay cuts on the remaining employees, and have cut contributing to retirement accounts.

I would imagine he lives in an apartment off campus in town someplace.

Day of giving is on May 12! I think it's outstanding the entire Valpo family is going to be the ones to make this campaign hit its goal. If you're able, let's show some extra support for our university that day.

Doing this once and coming back I think all is forgiven and water under the bridge...pulling this twice - I don't even think I'd be interested in having him back. Good luck elsewhere. I'm not sure where he can go where he'll have as much opportunity to put his entire skill set on display as he did here.
