Apply?  Roger should recruit him!

Great to see Alec back in the gym at Valpo.  This has got to be a big plus to these kids to show that a Valpo grad can make it in the pros!

This is one of my favorite moments from Valpo basketball. I was sitting on the floor underneath the basket with the cameraman, and this was our view as the two of us watched the flight of the basketball and both realized, even before it reached the basket, that the ball was coming down in the center of the net and would bounce right to us. An amazing memory!

So Matt Lottich isn't even involved in basketball anymore?  I thought he had a non coaching role at a university.
CRUSADERS!!!

Lottich is at Mizzou.  Matt Bowen is the one who has moved away from basketball at least for right now.

I saw this on his FB the other day.  I believe that just leaves Stalin Ortiz as the remaining professional holdout from my time on campus.  Berdiel was basically Mr. Puerto Rico for their national basketball league over the last 10+ years, and Stalin is the same to the Colombian basketball league.

Now we know that Roger was responsible for landing KC, Jubril, and AP. It's almost a sure bet that he also recruited Lexis. In all likelihood, he was also recruiting JFL before he left with Bryce.

We know that:

1) Roger is a great recruiter;

2) has seen what success (Gonzaga/Valpo/Illinois) and failure (Vandy) looks like and;

3) has many connections and is well respected in the industry.

I love what he's been doing with the program the past few months and I have to believe he's going to find success.

Was flipping around different channels tonight and saw the end of a TBT game on ESPN. The Arkansas team won the game on a sweet offhand move by Brandon Wood.

Does anyone know what happened to The Cru, Valpo's TBT team? I was on their mailing list and expected to see them seeded, and then -- poof -- nothing.

Apparently there is a committee who deems a team good enough to be part of the tournament.  With a million bucks at stake there are probably many teams looking to get in.  For whatever reason, the Cru wasn't selected.

Wow, that was a short stay.  Perhaps Luke read Paul's tweet yesterday about facing Matt on December 3rd and decided he didn't want to 😉
