Is there any possibility Tevonn plays Tuesday? Is everyone just overreacting?

Sorry, all, but the loss of Tevonn will be too much.

Besides, I'd rather be wrong and win.  But, I truly feel the loss of Tevonn makes any chance of a win in the field of 64 nearly impossible.  If Carter doesn't show up big - time on Tuesday, I'm afraid he and Max just won't cut it at the next level.

We won yesterday without Tevonn? Why not against GB. CSU and GB are pretty identical skill wise.

Earlier in the year I say we win this one no doubt. But now I'm not so sure I'm a little bit lost with GB and Sykes. They've looked pretty good the past few games. But 2 of their last 3 games were against UIC who gave them a run for their money. Sykes only plays good against crappy defenses maybe he turned it around lately? We will have to wait and see let's hope not. One of my friends apparently talked to the team doctor after the game and said it was a torn mcl. Im not gonna take his word because you never know. Assuming Walker either tore his ACL, MCL, our meniscus. Either way he's not coming back Tuesday, and unless he's just removing his meniscus he's probably out for all of next year.

Ugh we can never catch a break when it come to injuries.

I just hope he didn't tear anything which is what I think had happened...

I will never understand why a lot of you think it matters if we play private schools in the conference or if there arent enough private schools etc. basketball is basketball who cares if they're private or not.

I'm very nervous for this game. Cleveland state wants us bad. They haven't forgotten what happened last Friday when we went into their place and took their right to host. Their pissed.

I don't think Bryce is going anywhere. DePaul is a mess and has been a joke for the last 15 years. I fully believe Bryce has an opportunity to win a national championship during his tenure at VU. Valpo is on the verge of becoming the next Butler, VCU, Gonzaga, etc... many coaches would consider those great jobs to have, Bryce is currently working on making VU a top-tier program.

Opportunity to make Valpo into a consistent tournament team that is always a threat to win a few games, yes.  National championship contender, no.  This post is the definition of fanatic.  Time to come down to earth a little.

Do you think any of those teams listed think they had a chance to make it to the final four? It's March madness crazy stuff happens!

Honestly I totally I agree I can see Valpo becoming the next VCU Butler Wichita State or Gonzaga. It really looks we are on that path right now. Maybe the next 3 years a elite 8 final four appearance?

I would be fine with anyone winning it as long as it isn't sykes. I think he's so overrated he can only jump.

Very glad to read that you were the debbie downer tonight and not 78. 78 was actually very positive. Because along with your poor analysis of the women's team you can't predict men's results very well either. I mean, come on! "pretty bad our last 5 games or so." Valpo beat Oakland, GB, Milw at Milw and WSU and lost a 3 point game at Detroit. How is that "pretty bad?!"  Hooray! Thank God!

I don't think I've ever even view the Women's basketball thread yet alone predict something. We've had ugly wins the past couple games and we looked horrible against detroit just a few nights ago. I thought we'd come out flat and tired with just 1 day rest. Glad I was very wrong!

No way we win this game, we needed the one at Detroit. CSU by 7.

The more I watch the replay the more I believe that Darien didn't foul him. Plus the fact that the ref who makes the call watches the ball coming up short before blowing his whistle isn't making me feel any better. There is absolutely no body contact. And based on how Jr. shoots the ball, it looks like the type of release that says "oh he's going to block this" where you typically short arm it. Which is what happened. Just my speculation. If I could get a look where I get to see the spin on the ball that would tell me a lot more.

Paul oren tweeted Darien said after the game he tipped it.

No way we win at CSU kiss the season and hosting the tourny goodbye. Even if somehow we make it to the NCAA tourny (which we won't) we aren't going to get a good seed. We will get blown out by a powerhouse.  Maybe next year
