I feel for them.  I think that they had a good chance at reaching the semifinals, and potentially finals.  Just like the men, they were hot at the right time.  Great career, Grace, and thank you!

A great season with the girls meeting my best case maximum expectation. Had the Valley tourney happened their path would have likely been Bradley (3), Drake (2), MSU (1). All were top 50 in RPI.  :o Yes they were hot, but their path to the finals was 10 times more difficult than for the guys.

Is the Indiana high school senior who has committed to us a member of the State All-Star team?  It  seems that almost every year we get a recruit who is on the team or someone who has received high honors on a State-wide basis.

I did some checking and I don't think those players have been announced yet.  Same for Illinois and Minnesota.  The one who has been announced is Leah Earnest from Wisconsin.  She is again a First Team All State player (two in a row) in Wisconsin's largest school class.

She did not. 2 others from her team did. She also started the season injured.

It sure appears that both the men's and the women's teams had successful recruiting seasons.  Hopefully both programs can continue doing so and bring both to be successful year in and year out in the MVC.  The future looks bright!

Urbana, a D2 school in Ohio recently announced they were closing. One of our assistants came to Valpo from there. They had a decent team. I would if we look there   for additional help. We have a couple of open spots.

Wow!  They won't be the last.  A read an article that said that they had just completed a new athletic building last year.  They had been acquired by Franklin College a few years ago.  Franklin has an endowment of $60 million.  Thank God for the insight of Valpo's administration for going hard for endowment funding.  It will still be a very tough road a head.

As far as Nicole K. playing we may never see her play again do to injury.
From early in the year, I guess Nicole will play again, she has transferred to Stephen F Austin.
